Vocabulary
You never have to build a deck, hunt for a definition or decide what to study tonight. Open Vocabulary and the words are already there — sorted by level, with a picture, a pronunciation and a meaning you can read in your own language.
What it actually does.
Decks that are already built
The Oxford 3000 and 5000, all four Cambridge Vocabulary in Use books, Collocations in Use, and themed picture decks for animals, food, jobs, space, the body, transport, countries and road signs.
Meanings from a dictionary, not invented
Definitions are taken from Cambridge Dictionary and translated into 17 languages. The picture is a real photograph, a real country outline or the actual road sign.
A card that teaches, not just tests
US and UK pronunciation you can play, an example for each sense of the word, synonyms, and a memory tip for the ones that refuse to stick.
Review that comes back for you
Every word you meet joins a spaced-repetition queue and returns on the day you're about to forget it. Nothing to rate, nothing to schedule.
What you can actually do here.
Curated decks
Fourteen decks that are already built, from the Oxford 3000 to road signs — sorted by level, with a picture on every card.
Flashcards
Flip a card, check the meaning, move on. The gentlest way through a deck you have never seen.
Type to recall
Spell the word from its meaning. The only mode that marks a word as learned, because it is the only one you cannot guess.
Multiple choice
Pick the right word out of four — quick, and the easiest one to do on a phone.
Listen and choose
Hear the word, then choose it. Pronunciation and meaning in the same second.
